Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

As stated by FEMA, disasters can cause loss of life, damage buildings and infrastructure, and have devastating consequences for a community’s economic, social, and environmental well-being.  Hazard mitigation planning is the process used by state, local and tribal leaders to understand risks from natural hazards and develop long-term strategies to reduce the impacts of disasters on people, property, and the environment.

The Town of Erving’s draft Local Hazard Mitigation Plan is available for public review and comment. Click on the link above to read the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan and/or attend the public meeting, held in conjunction with the Erving Select Board meeting on October 28, 2019 at 6:45 pm, located at the Erving Town Hall, 12 East Main Street, Erving, MA 01344.  

Public Comments

Public comments will be accepted during the meeting as well as during a public comment period from October 28th through November 12th.   There are 4 ways to submit comments:

1. You may hand in your comments at the public meeting; or
